In the Grote Kerk, where the opening and closing meeting of the Synod took place, a series of five concerts is organized as part of the Synod commemoration. Each time an introduction takes place, in which the relationship with the Synod is highlighted.
On 6 April the theme is ‘Bach and the Synod’. Cantate 99 by Johann Sebastian Bach (Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan) will be performed by Sura Cantat and Accademia Amsterdam. City organist Cor Ardesch will play the organ.
Tickets for this special concert are only available at the door. The normal entrance fee is 8 euros, members of the Vrienden of the Grote Kerk receive a 50 percent discount on presentation of their membership card.
